REGULATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

1. The Cyprus Sunshine Cup 2010 is organized under the regulations of the UCI and the Cyprus Cycling Federation and the present specific regulations of the events

2. Categories

Riders of the following categories are allowed participate In the Cyprus Sunshine cup 2010

UCI RACES

• Men Elite (1980-1991) for the UCI races

• Women elite (1980-1991)for the UCI races

• Juniors men (1992-1993) with license for the UCI races

OTHER CATEGORIES

• Junior women with license

• Cadets 15-16 years old with license

• Masters 1 men and women with License (31-40 years old)

• Masters 2 men and women with License (41+ years old)

FUN CATEGORY (without License)

• Men and women categories without license (19-30 years old)

• Masters 1 men and women without License (31-40 years old)

• Masters 2 men and women without License (41 years old)

Men elite and women elite categories receive points and prize money according to the UCI Class one (Europe B).

4. General Classification

General classification is the final classification after all four events of Cyprus Sunshine Cup 2010. Points are awarded after each event as follows:

1st Place 100 points

2nd Place 90 points

3rd Place 85 Points

4th place 80

5th place 75

6th place 70

7th place 68

8th place 65

9th place 62

10th place 60

11th place 58

12th place 56

13th place 54

14th place 52

15th place 50

And all rest places

-1 (minus1) point per place…

Prize money for the General Overall Classification:

CYPRUS SUNSHINE CUP 2010 OVERALL PRIZE MONEY

A total amount of €10,000 will be given as prize money for the Overall classment of the Cyprus Sunshine Cup 2010

5. Numbers distribution and training on course.

There will be a registration and inscription office open for every event. Team managers and riders must pick up their numbers on the working hours of the office BEFORE ENTERING THE RACE COURSE FOR TRAINING.

Numbers will be awarded as follows:

1. Winner of last years’ respective event

2. According to UCI World Ranking top 100 Men and 50 Women Elite in XCO

3. The rest of the riders according to registration date

Race office hours:

The office will be open from 09:00 to 16:00 the day before the race day of each event near the start area of each event. Exact place of the race offices are mentioned in the details for every event.

Training on the course:

Courses will be marked and signed 24 hours before the race.

Unofficial training is allowed only the day before the event and on the race day when there are no other races on the course. Course is closed for training 30 minutes before the start of each race.

No one is allowed to train on the race course during other races!

6. CYPRUS SUNSHINE CUP #2  - “AFXENTIA 2010” –  Stage race

The CYPRUS SUNSHINE CUP #2 is the famous “AFXENTIA” STAGE RACE which consists of three stages.

Stage 1: Time Trial 7.4 km on the XCO course in Mantra tou Kampiou

Stage 2: XC Point to Point race – 41km for Men and 32 km for Women elite and all other categories - Start and Finish Area in Mantra tou Kampiou

Stage 3: XCO course in Mantra tou Kampiou – 7,4km 306m ascent per lap – duration according UCI regulations for each category

AFXENTIA 2010 – GENERAL CLASSIFICATION PRIZE MONEY IS ACCORDING TO UCI REGULTATIONS

Juniors and Masters Categories are allowed to race the stage race. For juniors ONLY THE LAST STAGE is a UCI race.

Fun categories can race only the second and third stage

7. Inscription fees

• For men elite and women elite categories 30 € for all one day events.

• For “Afxentia 2010” Stage race the total amount is 65 € for the three days.

• Masters, juniors and cadets categories 20 € per event.

• Masters, juniors and cadets stage race total 45€

8. Health and insurance

All non- licensed riders must present a doctor certificate that enables them to participate in the races. Also they must pre- register so that the organizers arrange their insurance for the races.
