Limassol Carnival

Every year before Lent, Limassol hosts the largest carnival celebrations on the island. If you are in Cyprus around March you are in for a treat, as the town really becomes alive for ten days with processions, fancy dress balls and parties.

Akamas Festival

A classical music festival held annually in late March and April at venues around Paphos.

Flower Festival, Paphos Archaeological Park

Cyprus new Wild Flower Held takes place between mid March and the end of May, with flower exhibition and dance, theatre and musical performances.

Festival of Kataklysmos

May or June sees the traditional festival of Kataklysmos-Whitsuntide, or the Festival of the Flood which takes place on Protaras Beach with organized water games, singing, dancing and poetry competitions, which can carry on into the night.

Protaras and Anthestiria Flower Festival

These colourful events spring into action in May, providing an excuse for much festivity and merry making amongst locals. You’ll be swept along in the part atmosphere of it all as the procession of bloom-laden floats males its way along the main road.

Protaras International Arts Festival

This major event takes place at the end of June each summer, with music, dance and theatre performances in a number of locations around Protaras. Acts flock in from around the world, so there are numerous opportunities to watch a play or concert.

Polis events

During the summer months the local tourist office organizes a series of concerts and performances billed as Summer Evening in Polis. These events range from displays of traditional Cypriot music and dancing, to classical music and jazz concerts.

Limassol Wine Festival

During the first week of September the annual Limassol Wine Festival, established in 1962, offers Cypriots and tourists alike the chance to sample local wine. Everyone enters into the party spirit as thousands of litres of free wine are consumed including special tasting.
